UWS Village is located on The University of Western Sydney’s Parramatta North campus. To give you an idea of how close you are to your classes, it takes approximately eight minutes to walk to the main EA building, and approximately 10 minutes to walk to the café and library.

UWS Village is approximately 10 minutes by bus from the Parramatta CBD and one of Australia’s largest Westfield shopping malls. From Parramatta train station, an express train will take you to the Sydney CBD in approximately 30 minutes!

While UWS students are given preference for accommodation, non-UWS students are also eligible to apply. This includes research assistants and full-time, part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate students.

No pets, including fish, may be kept in the Village. Additionally, residents are not permitted to bring animals into any building of the Village. This Rule does not apply to the extent that it restricts the keeping of a guide or hearing dog.

UWS Village hosts a diverse range of residents from all over the world and across Australia, and we see this as a true strength of our community. To ensure fairness, we do not give preference to any group over others. We encourage all applicants to submit the relevant forms as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Eligibility for student accommodation is determined based on availability of rooms and is determined on a 'first in, first serve' basis.

If you’d like to share a room with a friend, or have any preferences in regards to the gender or age of your future housemates, please specify this on your application form. Given the demand for rooms, we can’t guarantee to fulfill all requests, but we’ll definitely try our best to accommodate you.

The earlier you and your friend apply, the easier it is for us to assign you to the same apartment.

Spouses, partners, boyfriends or girlfriends can apply for accommodation at UWS Village, as long as they are students at UWS. A limited number of double rooms are available in selected 6 and 8 bedroom apartments. Given the demand for rooms, we can’t guarantee to fulfill all requests, but we’ll definitely try our best to accommodate you.

All residents are responsible for keeping their rooms and apartments clean. A cleaning service can be organised for a fee. Please contact us for further information.

Broadband connectivity is available in every bedroom at the Village. We have a range of affordable internet packages available. 

UWS Village offers an independent living experience in stylish, affordable accommodation, just minutes away from classes! At the same time, we ensure staff are on site 24 hours a day, and offer a fantastic residential life program to help you live, learn and grow.

This means that you have the freedom to do what you want and can enjoy the benefits of living in an exciting student community. You also have peace of mind knowing that there are always staff available to provide assistance.

In short, we offer a fantastic balance between support and independence!

UWS Village offers the choice of a 12, 26 or 52 week residential agreement, much like private rental accommodation in the Parramatta area.

12 and 26 week agreements are perfect for those taking short courses or studying abroad, while 52 week agreements give residents the freedom to access rooms and facilities mid year and throughout the summer period.

If you choose a 12 or 26 week agreement, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that we’ll have a room available if you wish to extend your contract. A 52 week agreement will guarantee you the same room for the entire year. Many residents that choose to enter a 52 week contract save on the time and effort spent moving to a different room at the Village mid-year.

To help out with your rent, you can elect to put your room into the letting pool if you choose to go away for the summer holiday. We'll endeavour to secure you a fee rebate by renting it to conference guests and other visitors. The rebate will be a portion of your residential fee, depending on the occupancy of all available rooms during the summer period.

UWS Village doesn't provide catering, however each apartment has a full kitchen including a fridge, freezer, stovetop and microwave so feel free to cook up a storm at any time of day. If you need some tips, join one of our cooking classes! Check out our event calendar to see if one is coming up.
